Central Statewide Systems

The ReferNET Statewide System is an all inclusive, fully centralized Internet Accessible package specifically designed for I&R networks with two or more member organizations. 

The ReferNet System provides REAL-TIME service provider and call/client information to the regional call centers (2-1-1 or other I&R networks) and  real-time service provider information to the statewide and local websites.

The ReferNet Central System allows each regional I&R organization to create and maintain their own local resource data file in the central system while collectively sharing these locally maintained resource files with the other regional I&R members.  Every regional call center has immediate access to the latest service provider data throughout the state.

ReferNet easily tracks families as well as individuals. This is especially important in disaster and emergency situations when family members are forced to separate and live in different cities or states.

How does it work?

All resource, call/contact and client data is maintained on central servers.   The entire statewide resource information file is available to all network members while each network member organization maintains their own "piece of the pie" which includes their local resource information other unique county and state resources.  Duplication of resource information is eliminated.

Basic client demographic information is shared with the I&R network members (name, address phone number) but personal call/client information recorded by each I&R member organization such as referrals, notes and statistical data is stored separately and can only be accessed by the recording I&R member or by permission from the recording member.

The ReferNET Central System offers these advanced I&R features:

  • Incorporates Refer and Alliance Network I&R software technology for the call centers and resource maintenance.   No other I&R system can match the capabilities of Refer and Alliance Network.

  • Uses Terminal Services and the Remote Desktop Connection, instead of a Web browser, for fast, reliable, and secure Internet access.

  • Complete I&R system that includes client tracking, case management, volunteer tracking and opportunities, and required fields processing.

  • Each regional member can setup their own unique call center user interface to capture the call/contact and client data for their individual statistical tracking and reporting needs.

  • Immediate switching of service (call center duties) from one I&R member to another (or to multiple members) for after-hours or emergency situations.

  • Call centers taking after-hours calls for one or more regional members will record each member's calls with their user interface, not the user interface of the center taking the calls.  All members will have 24 hour data recorded to their individual call/contact record saved in each members required format.

  • Supports individual member, multiple member, or statewide statistical reporting.

  • Automatically emails annual survey notifications to all service providers, resending the email when service providers fail to complete the annual survey in a timely manner.

  • Displays the completed annual surveys to the correct region center for quick service provider updating.

  • Includes a built-in user-defined cover letter and brochure library is available to call staff for creating mailings and mail labels for callers and client.

  • Each regional center has complete printed directory (with indexes) and directory on CD production capabilities.

  • The Taxonomy Update System automatically updates the resource database and previous call records with the new Taxonomy terms downloaded from the AIRS/Infoline Taxonomy Website.

  • The central system is maintained entirely off-site - 24/7. No software is needed at the individual I&R regional sites.

  • Supports the statewide public access web site for resource searching and volunteer tracking.
